Lean & Green Power-Up Taco Salad with Creamy Yogurt Dressing

Now I love taco salad so much! So much in fact that even my "healthy" version of the salad winds up netting me almost 1300 calories! So with the help of the Body Master Chef, we created a calorie-wise version that still hits the tastebuds. This salad is PACKED full of vitamins, essential minerals and still tastes pretty darn close to the original!

If you're following the Accelerator, this salad is best had on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday Dinners to Maximize fat loss while you sleep!

For the salad:

  • 2 cups shredded romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup cooked lean ground turkey or chicken (seasoned with paleo-friendly taco seasoning)
  • 1/4 cup shredded pecorino cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños (optional)
  • 1/4 cup diced cucumber
  • 1/4 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup chopped olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

For the dressing:

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded romaine lettuce, cooked ground turkey or chicken, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, chopped cilantro, diced avocado, sliced jalapeños (if using), diced cucumber, sliced bell peppers, chopped olives, and chopped fresh parsley.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, lime juice, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper to make the dressing.

  3. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss until everything is well coated.

  4. Serve immediately and enjoy your flavorful and nutritious paleo-style taco salad with a creamy Greek yogurt dressing!
